Welcome to the Educated Equestrian

The official home of USDF  Champion Lynn Jendrowski and the developing DVD series, "The Educated Equestrian."

This website offers a unique set of educational tools and information from Lynn Jendrowski . . . a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist.  Lynn has compiled an impressive competition record and is currently training some of the most remarkable horses and students in the state of Virginia.

As Lynn has traveled all over the world to compete, her work has triggered questions . . . how do you do that?  Why do you do that?  How can I get my horses to respond like yours?  The Educated Equestrian DVD series has been inspired by these questions and promises to help people achieve the best results with their horses and from themselves to improve their overall equine experience.

Lynn Jendrowski and Moud, who appears in Lynn's first video in The Educated Equestrian series:  "Braiding Made Simple."

We invite you to explore our website and take advantage of Lynn's 30 plus years of equine competition and training as we produce a database of useful information and create a series of powerful training DVDs.

Tip of the Month:

January 2010:

Happy New Year to Everyone!

It has been a cold winter for many of us this season.  Make sure to pay attention to your horses respiration on these cold winter days.  Avoid long hard workouts when the air temperature is below freezing.  Breathing in ice crystals can cause lung problems for your horses.

You can read an archive of tips here.

The Educated Equestrian Philosophy

To help  riders to fulfill their full potential by:

  • Teaching them to be effective with their aids;

  • Clarifying their understanding of how to correctly administer the aids;

  • Giving them exercises to develop an independent seat;

  • Teaching them how to develop their horses both physically and mentally.

To train horses, no matter what their breed or ability, to become successful competitors and pleasurable to ride on a daily basis by:

  • Developing their response to light aids, making them easy for riders to ride;

  • Making them safe and reliable under a variety of circumstances.
