Full Care, Board and Training:
Because of a limited number of stalls, all horses must be in training. I
do not offer boarding alone at this facility. This option is available on
a very limited basis. This program is for the horse and rider who desires
complete and full care. This package will include 5 lessons and/or rides
per week, feeding, blanketing, and unblanketing, holding for vet/blacksmith (if
necessary), and turnout. This option covers the provision of all normal care of
the horses. Price per month $1550.00
Private Lessons:
Private lessons are available. Lessons are 45 minute private training
sessions. They may be limited in availability; priority will be
given to training students due to time constraints. There are no
other services included in this option. A 24-hour cancellation
notice is expected or you will be held financially responsible for the
full amount of the lesson. Price per lesson $80.00
Clinics:
Clinic fees are as follows: $790.00/day which includes 8 sessions, no more
than 2 riders per session. Travel fees will vary depending upon the
distance. If I drive there is a .40/mile round trip fee. Airfar e for
further distances will vary. I am willing to stay in private homes, but
will need my own room. Because of a severe cat allergy I cannot stay in a
home where there is a cat. Otherwise, a hotel will be fine.
Lesson Policy:
For those of you who are enrolled in a training package, all lessons are
45 minute private training sessions. It is the rider’s responsibility to
be warmed up and ready for the lesson at the appointed time. If the horse
needs to be lunged, it should be done before the lesson starts, or it will
be considered part of the lesson time. If you know you are going to be
late for a lesson, you need to call in advance and let me know so I can
adjust my schedule if necessary. If you do not contact me, you may need to
forfeit your lesson that day. If you have a problem with a lesson time, do
not hesitate to advise me, I will be happy to try to accommodate your
schedule if at all possible. If you need to cancel and would like me to
school your horse in place of the lesson, I need to be notified by 2:00
p.m. the afternoon before so I can adjust my schedule.
Grooming:
If you would like additional services provided in addition to training,
(clipping, bathing, mane pulling . . .), you will need to speak with me to
make special arrangements for these services. Fees for additional services
are listed below.

Main pull $25.00

Closed sign is posted, there is to be NO riding in the arena until
otherwise posted. Feel free to ride in the fields or on the trai ls
as you wish.
Barn Business:
What happens and what is said at the barn is strictly confidential and
should not be discussed outside the barn or with others. This includes,
but is not limited, to discussing horses, their habits and/or injuries and
“gossip.” Please discuss an complaints, grievances, or problems you
may have directly with me. I expect everyone to be direct with me as that
is the way I operate with my clients. The trainer/client relationship,
like any relationship, is a work in progress. This is a very emotional and
passionate sport. Any resentment or ill feelings will only complicate
training and eventually undermine the relationship. It is in everyone’s
best interest to focus upon themselves and not on those around them. It is
my goal to maintain a happy atmosphere where people come to relax and
enjoy their horses. Sundays are a quite day at the barn. Your cooperation
is greatly appreciated.
Hopefully this will answer any questions you may have about services and
costs. Dressage is a very time and labor intensive sport, and takes many
years to learn. It is my aim to keep the barn to a small and personal
level where everyone will have the chance to develop to the best of their
ability. It is vital that the trainer/student relationship is clear and
honest; like any high intensity sport such as ice skating or gymnastics,
YOU GET OUT OF IT WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT!
