GENERAL PROFILE:  Over the years, Lynn has competed training level thru FEI Grand Prix with over 100 wins and placings.   She trains both horses and riders and is currently producing a series of instructional DVDs entitled, The Educated Equestrian.

CURRENT GOAL:  To compete internationally in an attempt to qualify for the 2010 World Equestrian Games.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

   

2008: 

  • Competing numerous horses at National Level

  • Competing Shapiro in the FEI Grand Prix

  • Training with Arthur Kottas and Bruno Greber

2007:

  • Competed Shapiro successfully at the Grand Prix Level
  • Grand Crue at 3rd and 4th successfully
  • Moud successfully at 3rd level
  • All horses received USDF Year End Awards

2006:

  • Competed Shapiro at the Grand Prix Level
  • Competed nationally on several horses

   

2005: 

  • Competed on self trained horse Shapiro at the Grand Prix Level
  • Shaprio placed 1st at the Grand Prix level for USDF All Breeds Awards and 2nd at the Grand Prix Freestyle
  • Competed successfully placing 2nd at the USDF Regional Finals

2004: 

  • Competed Shapiro at the Prix St. George and Intermediare I level
  • Trained with Bruno Greber and attended clinics with Arthur Kottas and Kimberly Kulesa

2003:

  • Competed Shapiro at 4th level.

2002: 

  • Trained Dutch Warmblood at the Grand Prix level.

 

   


2001:

  • Competed in California on self bred and self trained horse Haagen Dazs, 12 year old Dutch Warmblood in the Prix St. Georges and Intermediare level, placing in the top ten nine times with two first place wins.

2000:

  • Recipient - Ruth Arvanette Fund to attend USDF National Convention in November 2000.
  • Placed 1st nationally for Intermediare I Freestyle
  • Placed 1st locally in PSG, Intermediare I and Intermediare I Freestyle
  • USDF Performance Certificate 4th Level
  • HDCTA Champion at Training Level with 5 year old Trakehner, Psafari.

1999:

  • Recipient of USDF Instructors' Scholarship Program
  • Placed 4th for USDF All Breed Horse of the Year Awards for both 3rd and 4th level
  • Placed 1st locally HDCTA at both 3rd and 4th level
  • USDF Horse of the Year 17th place at 3rd level USDF Performance Certificate 3rd Level

   

1998: 

  • USDF Horse of the Year at 2nd Level - 7th place
  • HDCTA - 1st place at 2nd level. USDF Performance Certificate 2nd Level.

1996/1997: 

  • USDF Performance Certificate 1st Level - Sold farm in PA and moved to Hawaii

1995: 

  • USDF Performance Certificate Training Level
  • Dressage at Devon - Haagen Dazs - Placed 2nd; Flagge placing 4th.

1989:

  • Recipient of the Carl Heinrich Asmis Scholarship to train abroad
  • Awarded the E. Avery Drapery Trophy for being the highest scoring DVCTA member at Dressage at Devon at 4th level on self trained horse President

   

Personal Training:

  • I train specializing in Classical Dressage instruction and now live in Virginia.
  • January 2002 thru July 2002:  trained in northern CA with Melissa Simms and at shows with Debbie McDonald
     
  • Spring 2001:  trained  with Kristina Harrison while in CA.From 1996 thru 2000 - Attended numerous clinics with many top judges and clinicians in the country many listed below.
  • From 1992 through 1995: Trained  with both Melissa Simms who was the head trainer at Reitinstitute Egon Von Neindorff and Nin from Sweden.
  • 1992 - Trained in Germany with Melissa Simms, head training at Reitinstitut Egon Von Neindorff, Karlsruhe, Germany.
  • 1990 - Worked with Lendon Gray during the summer several weeks.
  • Spring 1989 - As recipient of the Carl Heinrich Asmis Scholarship trained in Germany at Reitinstitute Egon VonNeindorff with Melissa Simms, Head Trainer.
  • Summer 1987 thru Spring 1990 - Trained with Gunnar Ostergaard.
  • Summer 1986 - Qualified for ESDCTA team competition (at 2nd level with Adwind Lau) and was coached by Edith Masters former 2 time Olympic Dressage Rider.
  • January 1982 thru Fall 1986 - Trained with Peter Kjellerup from Denmark at Five Star Farm, PA.
  • Spring 1982 thru January 1985- Trained with the late Major Hector Carmona (former Chilean Olympic rider) at Los Alamos Dressage Center, NJ.
  • 1981 - Began studying dressage after 18 years of hunt seat riding. Began taking lessons from Lazelle Knocke International judge, former USDF President.
